Milly trudged into the door of the Rink, a small smile on her face at the prospect of getting back on the ice. She had adored skating as a child, even competed in some competitions. She had been pretty good. But ever since she broke her ankle when she was 11, she'd been too scared to come back to a rink. Now she decided to not let something so dumb let her dream of becoming a professional skater stop her. Everyone had their tumbles once and a while.
She sat down on a bench and quickly tied up the laces of her new, well, actually second hand, skates. They were much better that way. Since they were already broken in, and soon would mold to her own feet. She stood up and wiggled her toes as she stashed her jacket on the bench and her shoes under them. She took her black gloves from the pocket of her jacket and slipped them on so her fingers wouldn't get cold.
Milly looked down at her apparel. She wore a grey, tight-ish zip-up bunnyhug with black sweats. Her top of her head was covered in a black toque. Smiling a little larger she walked out to the rink, carefully stepping on the slippery surface of the ice. She sighed a content sigh as she glided away from the edge with grace that just came naturally to her, although she hadn't been skating for quite some time. Milly noticed a few other people skating around in a circle, and joined them, skating around a bunch of people who seemed to be having a good time. They were going pretty slow, and Millandra liked to skate faster than some people. She loved how the ice just let her glide along.
Milly suddenly wished she had come here with someone. Although she was new, so maybe no one wanted to even go with her. She willed someone to skate up behind her and introduce him or herself to Milly. A sound came from back of her, like someone was skating a little faster to catch up with her. Well... maybe they were trying to catch up with her. Or maybe it was just another fast skater. Whatever, it didn't really matter. Maybe Milly should just go up to someone and introduce herself? That was plan B, if the person behind her didn't want to talk.
