Of course he wasn't too shy to just walk up to her door, knock and wait for her answer. I mean, it's that simple! Or was it? He had been standing against the far wall, staring at her door for long moments. He was being a wimp, and he knew it. Sighing heavily, he took small steps toward the brown painted door, his heart racing. Lifting his hand, he tapped his knuckles against the wood, almost immediatley withdrawing his hand and gluing it too his side.
Taking a deep breath, he patiently waited her response, anticipating the door to just swing open and the beautiful Noelle to stand there with one of her gorgeous smiles.
x uhh. yeah so like, it's short. i wasn't so sure what to say. i hope that's fine. x

Fingers worked around her hair lazily as Noelle pulled it up into a messy bun, which was how she usually had it when she was alone in her room. It wasn't like someone was going to bust through the door and yell, "You have a loose hair!" at her because...that would just be creepy. She had changed into her pajamas for now, just for the sake of being comfortable so she could sit at her desk and work on her homework without squirming right out of her seat. Although she might anyway, because she had math homework and that was her least favorite subject. Especially since what they were doing right now she did not understand and at all. Give her an essay to right, an experiment to do, anything that didn't involve letters and numbers together in the same equation and she's be good. But face it, she just couldn't do math.
Her knees bent gracefully, allowing her to lower herself to the cushioned chair and lean over the flat surface in which she had laid out her books. Noelle picked up her pencil, placing it between her middle and forefinger comfortably like she usually did before she actually went ahead and used it. Eyes scanned over the last bit of problems she had left, already finding herself ready to just give up. But she wouldn't do that. The more she practiced that sooner she'd understand, maybe. Or she could ask for help? Maybe a tutor would be good. NO, they may not let her get one. her grade wasn't that bad, but that was only because she participated enough and got the credit for doing her work. As far as test grades went, we'll just say not all of them were pretty.
Thankfully, it wasn't much later that a knock at the door broke the silence and granted her the permission to distract herself again from this alien language. Setting her pencil back down, Noelle pushed herself off the chair and made her way over the soft carpeting to the hunk of wood that separated her from her visitor. After she unlocked it, her hand grasped gently around the brass and turned it so she could pull it open. Revealed to her was the very familiar figure of Billy, which of course immediately brought a smile upon her lips. Hey! What are you doing here? Her intonation held a curiousness, though of course she was happy to see him.

It wasn't long before the door silently swung open, revealing the beautiful sight of the familiar Noelle. He had already had a smile upon his lips, returning the same expression. With her simple use of words, he merely shrugged, his blue gaze never leaving her own mahogany ones. "I'm not quite sure..." He said a bit mindlessly, probably sounding like a total idiot. Ugh, you dork! What kind of answer is that? Now she's gonna think you're some sort of loser or something. He thought to himself, sighing heavily. "We still on for friday?" He asked sheepishly, his smile rearranging itself into a crooked grin. Well of course they were still set up for friday, but what else could he have said? "Hey, Noelle. I just dropped by to tell you that I'm madly in love with you and I hate spending any second without you." Oh yeah, that would go over real well. Pft, yeah right. "So are you busy?" He asked softly, his voice finally relaxing so he wouldn't stutter his words as much. He was usually a pro at talking to girls, but the one before him just irked him in that one sort of way that made him feel like a little boy that just saw the cutest girl across the playground.
He had felt like saying something else, but of course, he had already had his share of words. Now it was her turn. It usually went from one person to the next, but he had decided to use his choice of words three times, practically stealing the conversation from the girl before him. He hadn't meant to, but Noelle just gave him a sort of sensation that couldn't be tolerated, and it drove him crazy.

Letting her hand fall away from the door, Noelle folded her arms comfortably in front of her and leaned against the wooden frame of her door, crown tilting the the right a little while she listened to Billy talk. Actually, she mainly watched his eyes. She probably wouldn't say it out loud, but she loved his eyes. They were that kind of ice blue color that not many people have. Sarah held that color too, but like was mentioned before she wasn't here at the moment was she? But yet, there was just something about his eyes that was so alluring to her. I'm not quite sure... Well, okay. He didn't have to really know why he had stopped by. Sometimes you just wanted to pay a visit to someone. She liked the fact that he'd stopped by though, so she didn't say anything.
Eyebrows raised lightly with his inquiry, a tiny laugh escaping her lips in an amused way. Of course we are. She didn't see why they would be off for Friday all of the sudden, but sometimes it was difficult to start a conversation. It seemed like he was experiencing that at the moment, a but of the squirmy feeling. In fact I'm looking forward to it. She was still kind of in the process of trying to figure out what to wear. Why, she didn't know. Normally she just threw something on that looked good whenever she went out to a club or to eat or something, but she'd been fretting over it a little at the thought of going with Billy.
At his second question, Noelle let her gaze wander away for a moment to look over her shoulder at the desk across the room. There still sat her math homework. No, not really, just attempting to get through my Calculus. Eyes came back, a deep sigh escaping her while she raised her brows again. Thank you for the distraction. She should be eternally grateful to him. She knew that eventually she would get stressed out enough she wouldn't be able to finish it, this way at least she had a bit of time to get her mind off the problems before she got back to them. Sometimes it was easier that way. Though if she had the option she would much rather leave and do something then take a look at that textbook again. On the contrary, she had to get it done eventually.

*sigh* I know we just started this thread, but maybe we could just continue this in our instant message convo? I just cannot seem to find the muse to post, and I haven't been able to for awhile now. So maybe we could just...uh, say they visited for awhile, and they met back up on instant messaging? Oh and uh, I'm leaving wednesday! So we might want to make their friday date on tuesday! :]
